Best Friends Forever

We've been through a lot, I am being mushy here I think lol. My friends and I go back 1998, hooked up because of the hit tv series Charmed. Every week we meet up at my mom's place at 9 pm for our weekly charmed nights then we would talk for like 3 hours or so non-stop. We had our share of fights some are definitely my fault, estrogen talking but mostly had fun when we're together. Anyway, I am glad I have them :)

Vouchers oh Vouchers!

From Pamplona to Alabang Town Center to Ayala, Makati to Mall of Asia wheew what a day! I have purchased several vouchers online, some I didn't got the chance to use while others I usually redeem on the last day. Around 11am today I called Xoi Taiwanese Restaurant at ATC for a reservation of a group meal set good for 3-4 pax which normally costs P1,050 but got it for like P400++ I forgot how much exactly lol. Anyway, food is good but I never really liked taiwanese food even back when I visited Saigon sorry :(, so I didn't quite enjoyed it. After ATC we went straight to my appointment at Cara Mia Aesthetics for the IPL treatment which I also got online for P199 valued at P1000 yey! The kind receptionist validated my vouchers good for another month, today was the last day of my redemption kasi lol. We proceeded to Mall of Asia to eat dinner at David's Tea House, their pot roast was superb! Again thanks to my vouchers which I got at P249 for the P500 GC consumable, I got 2 vouchers P498 for the price of P1000. After that my son asked for an oatmeal cookie so I bought some at Seattles best and a cup of cold coco for the road, no vouchers for that lol. Overall I saved a lot today I think, here are today's photos:

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Yesterday we went to National Home Mortgage to pay our house loan balance, we parked in front of the building then afterwards I needed to go to this other place which I thought was near Makati Medical Center and so we moved the car and parked there instead. It was partially cloudy but a little hot around 30 to 32 degrees probably but then when we got to MMC which is one block away from NHM the rain started to pour. From MMC we need to walk a couple of blocks going to Cityland Herrera so I could pay for our upcoming trip which again I got online 50% less but I had a few add-ons so I have to settle it at their office. Going back, I didn't know that on foot MMC to PBCom tower which is beside Cityland Herrera would be that long a walk given it is raining and we are carrying one squirmy tot with us, that was one tough cardio lol. The rain was hard as ever, we had to walk through two underpasses just to get to our destination, thanks to the Binays by the way for the underpass lol, don't shoot me I am just a fan. Anyway, alas we made it to Cityland Herrera just a bit sweaty and wet from the rain. Upon arrival at Indochina Strings I was forwarded to my travel agent and we then settled to book the tour. My son got a little friendly as usual :) afterwards we dropped by glorietta to grab a bite at Deli France and did a quick shop at SM kid's department for Mimoi's (a.k.a. Vinn) personal needs before heading home.

Roseola Infantum

Last Friday until Sunday my son caught fever about 38.7 to 39 degrees celsius, alarming yes but the fever was gone Monday, red spots appeared same day night time. I had my colonoscopy that day so I wasn't able to take him to the hospital but come Tuesday we visited his Pediatrician at St. Lukes and there I learned that Vinn had this viral infection called roseola infantum or commonly known as tigdas hangin. Being a first time mom I did not know that roseola infantum is normal to kids of Vinn's age. and that the viral infection is only contagious on Vinn's age bracket 4 years old and below, kids of ages 5 and above are safe from this disease. Indications that your child is infected by this virus are 2-3 days high fever, then red spots will appear on the third day but the child should show no sign of fever. I was asked to give Vinn Immunizinc and to keep him hydrated, thank God for as of today spots are already gone, my Pediatrician said that if the spots are gone, my kid is viral free :)

here's Vinn at the Doctor's office...

Hollie Spa Crap

I am terribly sorry for this post but I felt scammed and the thrifty me just want to get it out her chest, I hope it was just me who experienced such or I dunno. Anyway, I went to Hollie Spa Fort Bonifacio to redeem this deal I got online, their phone is not working so I went straight to their place, imagine from Las Pinas to Taguig. Upon arrival at the said spa around 7pm the staff said they are not accepting vouchers anymore, they only do that on their main branch which is way too far from Fort Bonifacio, Hollie Crap! I was tempted to wring the gay receptionist's neck lol but kept my cool, gave him the vouchers for free and stormed out of their crappy place.

Facebook Status

I haven't started yet but I can't stop smiling about these thoughts rushing through my brain plus my husband's funny quotes. I just saw something hilarious on facebook, one in particular is a certain status. We all know that it is common practice by everyone including me sometimes to post a status intentionally sarcastic to one of our friends or what we call frenemies, it is oddly true and yes it happens in real life. I happen to experience one this day actually. Anyway, after posting one of our family photos on facebook, the User I am referring to automatically posted one status that made me laugh out loud, almost as if he's screaming at me for being happy :)) lol. Well boohoo for you, I am and I am not gonna lie about that. So, while reading it out loud my husband said a few supposed answers we have for that User but heck we will never post that on facebook so I decided to put it here. Here it goes:

Because the User uploads his photos topless :D
"Nakakaganda ba ng facebook pag nag-post ka nang nakahubad? i-timeline ba..."

User finds it ridiculous that we post pictures while eating out
"Gutom ka ba? Oh ito pa!" :p

User uploaded photos of places and things they did which we did first.
"Anino ka ba? Kasi kung nasan ako pinupuntahan mo din eh"

... and also:
"Dapat ba hayop lang ang nakakulong? diba dapat ikaw din? ikaw kasi ang pinakamagandang hayop sa balat ng lupa eh"

haha but of course I will never post that on facebook, just for laughs ^_-

ssshhh...

Colonoscopy + Endoscopy and Food

I have never felt this light, indeed God is good all the time! I had my procedure last September 3, nothing that I expect, it didn't hurt that much maybe because I was asleep hooray for anaesthesia! Results were negative but I have minor problems like scrapes on my colon caused by acids, I didn't know that eating too much citrus foods could lead to that, then there's the hemorrhoids. Anyway, I was on a strict diet last Sunday but last Saturday I craved for japanese food so I went out with friends for japanese buffet at the Yanagi Restaurant in Midas Hotel, good thing I have a voucher lol, being the cheap-o mom that I am I only paid P249 each regular price P999 yey! I love the ambience of the restaurant and the food was good specially the assorted sushi, was back at the buffet 3 plates in a row lol. Now going back on my colonoscopy and endoscopy, I sure am relieved that I don't have the big C (paranoia strikes for the nth time). I didn't see anything on the monitor for I am under the spell of my Anaesthesiologist but my husband did. The first thing they did was the Endoscopy which is the process of looking through your stomach using a small camera with tubes. What I did feel at first before I fell asleep was the tube they put through my nose, it was horrible good thing the anaesthesia kick in a few seconds later. A day before my procedure I was told to eat heavy breakfast then soft diet on lunch, afterwards I have to drink 2 dulcolax tablets then at 6pm have to gulp a bottle of castor oil, imagine that! then I only get to drink fluids up until 6pm then clear liquids until 12mn and nothing more not even water after midnight up to the procedure plus I have to use a suppository at 4:30am and do the thingamajigger in the bathroom lol. It was the hardest close-to-diet thing I ever did. Then next was the colonoscopy which is the procedure in which they look into your colon using a small camera, my husband said there was this tweezer like thing as he described it which is attached to the camera and helps the colon to open up while the camera is passing through. Why didn't I see it? because I was in another place dreaming as my Doctor said it, they kept on waking me for like four times, embarrassing! I was in and out for like 1 hour or so, hungry as a starving bear I need to get food in my stomach that is why after that I had to eat everything I could think of, so we grabbed a bite at Sicillian Pizza in Mckinley, purchased online at 50% less ^_-
